Strictly Business | The Diversity and Depth of Women’s Voices

Updated: Nov 19

The Women’s Evolution Retreat was an enriching experience, one that not only inspired me, but also broadened my perspective on women’s inner power and transformative potential.

This year’s lineup was a vibrant mix of leaders in personal growth, wellness, creativity and professional development—each leaving an indelible impact through her insights. I’d like to share highlights of each speaker’s session and their dedication to helping women thrive, and who believe in empathy and compassion for all.

Bernadine Rosso-Galarneau

Bernadine, the retreat’s visionary and founder, brought her expertise as an ontological and shamanic guide in her closing session, “The True Wisdom Method.” Her focus was on the evolution of women as agents of positive change. Since 1993, she has created spaces for women to connect deeply with themselves and one another. Bernadine’s commitment to raising consciousness and collaboration is reflected in her retreats, where every participant becomes a co-creator of the experience. (womenwhoareuptosomething.com)

“The wisdom we seek is within us, waiting to be revealed through presence, connection, and courage.”

Silvia Austerlic

Silvia, an intercultural educator and the founder of Senti-pensante Connections, dedicated her session to bridging inner work with social justice. In her talk, “The Art of Radical Self-Love: Healing into Wholeness with Fierce Self-Compassion,” Silvia focused on the transformative power of self-compassion and how healing oneself becomes a step toward societal change. Silvia encouraged us to practice “radical self-love” as a gateway to resilience and authentic connections, emphasizing the importance of fierce self-compassion for wholeness. (senti-pensante.com)

“Self-love is not just a practice but a stance—a revolutionary one that ripples out to transform communities.”

Jennifer Young

With over 35 years of experience in human development, Jennifer led the “VISION WALK” session, guiding us to see ourselves as the superheroes of our own lives. Her work centers on helping women tap into their innate strengths to live more fulfilled lives, and she shared exercises that empowered us to embrace our unique paths. Jennifer’s energy was contagious, reminding us that our inner strengths are waiting to be harnessed. (IG: @wiser_women_retreat_planning)

“Within each of us is a powerful force that, once tapped, can lead to a more joyous and purposeful life.”

Janet Janssen

A Life in Business and Speaker coach, she has a knack for connecting public speaking with personal empowerment. Her session, “Empower Your Voice: Unleashing Your Speaking Superpowers,” was a lecture and a series of interactive exercises designed to help us communicate with clarity, confidence, warmth and experience. An award-winning Toastmasters International speaker and TEDx coaching experiences have made her a guiding force for those looking to refine their speaking skills and communication abilities. “Your voice is a superpower; harnessing it unlocks the potential to inspire change within and beyond yourself.”

Dr. Terry Williams

An expert in experiential learning, Dr. Williams led an interactive session on “An Experiential Introduction to Nonviolent Communication (NVC).” With her background in adventure-based learning and organizational development, Dr. Williams brought a unique, hands-on approach to understanding NVC principles. She created a safe space for participants to explore participatory processes and enhance performance through teamwork and empathy. (thechildrenareourfuture.org)

“Communication that connects fosters healing, collaboration, and the courage to lead with compassion.”

Wendy Meg Siegel

Wendy, a mixed-media artist and author, invited us into the world of “Creative Visioning: Tapping Into the Power of Your Intention” with a focus on intention-setting. Known for her gratitude journals and her Amazon bestseller, “The Creative Lifebook,” Wendy encouraged us to explore our relationship with creativity. Wendy’s work reminds us that creativity isn’t just an activity; it’s a way of approaching life. (wendymegsiegel.com)

“Creativity, when anchored in gratitude, can be a profound tool for vision and transformation.”

Talya Lutzker

Talya, a certified Ayurvedic practitioner, shared the healing power of Ayurvedic rituals in her session, “Flourish, Nourish and Heal Through Ayurvedic Rituals and Stellar Self-Care.” With a focus on self-care, Talya provided practical tips on integrating Ayurvedic principles into daily routines, fostering balance and well-being. Her work at Ayurveda Every Day demonstrates the beauty of connecting with ancient wisdom to achieve vibrant health. (ayurvedaed.com)

“When we honor our bodies, we unlock a wellspring of energy, resilience, and joy.”

Kylie Strijek

A Pilates instructor and former collegiate golfer, Kylie’s session, “Using Pilates to Let Go,” emphasized the importance of movement in healing and self-discovery. She brought a refreshing perspective on mindful movement, helping participants connect with their bodies through breath and intention. Kylie’s approach reminded us that wellness is not a one-size-fits-all journey but a personal experience rooted in self-awareness. (kyliemadelinepilates.com)

“Movement is a form of liberation; it’s how we let go and embrace the present.”
